Absolutely! While we may have shorter hours of daylight and cloudier weather in the winter, there are several advantages to solar energy in Oregon. Solar panels perform more efficiently in cooler climates and our long, sunny summer days are ideal for solar production. We only use locally-produced panels which are specially designed for optimal performance in the PNW.
OR state also offers net metering. All power created by solar generates credits that solar owners can use in the winter to offset the lower output during rainier days.
