Janelle is National Solar’s President. A lifelong entrepreneur and PNW-native, Janelle and her family founded National Solar with a simple mission in mind: commitment to a positive change. National Solar has always been family-owned and run and she and her team at National hope to build a brighter future of clean energy and leave a legacy of responsible stewardship towards our natural resources and local community.
John Harley is National Solar’s VP of Production. John has more than 25 years of experience in construction industry and over 12 years in solar. Before joining National, John owned his own general contractors company. John started his interest in conservation and construction working for the City of San Diego’s Water Conservation Program in the California drought in the early 90s.
Grant is a licensed electrical administrator. He graduated from Central Washington University in 2017 with summa cum laude honors and recognition. His hobbies include watching/playing sports, traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends. Grant has been to 4 continents and hopes to hit all 7 before he goes. He says that he enjoys working at National Solar because it offers him the rare opportunity to apply himself in multiple different facets of the solar industry.
Pat grew up in New England where he enjoyed the outdoors, earning a degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Plymouth State University in 2015. He chose a career in solar to have a positive impact on the environment. With over 6 years of experience in the industry, he has installed and managed countless projects, helping customers tackle carbon emissions one project at a time. Outside of work you can find Pat snowboarding or surfing depending on the season.
Jared has worked for National Solar for over 7 years and has been the lead installer for the last 3. He also has over 20 years experience in the construction industry making him the perfect person to install solar on your home. Jared’s hobbies include trail running, playing sports with his family and hanging out with his grandson.
Justin is National Solar’s Co-Founder and Head of Sales/Marketing. Adam is our Central Oregon Crew Lead. He’s been with the company for just over two years. Prior to this position he ran a material handling company that shipped grass seed from the Willamette Valley all over the country and achieved an associates degree from Linn-Benton Community College emphasizing business administration. He is on track to earn a Limited Renewable Technician License and NABCEP Solar Installer Certification within the year. Adam grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii in a house powered by solar, batteries, and a generator, with over 200 hours of solar/electrical class work completed in the LRT program so far. During his off time, Adam and his fiancé enjoy spending time with their friends and their two goofy dogs.
After an early career in banking, Lynnette stayed home to raise two children. After they finished school, she joined the National Solar team. She is our "red tape" specialist, handling all of the permitting, government, utility and incentive paperwork with all of the various cities and jurisdictions. When not working, Lynnette can be found on a pickleball court, on her bike, or doing a DIY project. She enjoys all outside activities.
Clint is our leader of strategic growth, currently carving the path towards a sustainable online presence for National Solar. Previously, he led growth at corporate enterprises, with most of his efforts focused on creating the best possible online experience for customer buying journeys. When not working, Clint focuses most of his time on his hobbies, spending time with his wife and their Corgi, Rafael (named after the famous tennis player Rafael Nadal) and spending time with friends and family.
Heath Kearns is a highly knowledgeable solar professional that has been working towards a clean energy future in solar for over 16 years. He has worked on all sizes and type of projects over the years: residential, commercial, grid-tied, off-grid, energy storage and solar-thermal. Heath has a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon and is working on his MBA. Outside of work, his hobbies are travel, sports, and music.
Jacob Holt is a dedicated Solar Design and Sales Representative with over three years of experience at National Solar. With a background as a CPA specializing in Real Estate Investing, Jacob excels in discussing investment opportunities in residential solar, helping homeowners make informed decisions. Passionate about renewable energy and environmental conservation, he is committed to focusing on protecting our planet. When he's not working, Jacob enjoys scuba diving, camping, and being outdoors as much as possible.
Cody is a master electrician by trade and is licensed in 33 states. As a tradesman, his focus for the last decade has been to the development of tradespeople in the Solar Industry. Cody has spent a significant amount of time working with trade associations like SEIA to create the quality standards that are used throughout the solar industry today. Having direct oversight over Install Quality, Field Training and Safety allow him the opportunity to push each tradesperson to develop their skillset and advance their careers.
Brett is a dedicated father of five amazing children, aged 18 to 26, who, along with his wife Sherri, form the core of his life’s motivation. Family has always been and will continue to be his primary "why" in life. With a background spanning from 1996 to 2020 in the construction industry and building trades, Brett has owned two successful construction companies. In 2020, he transitioned into the solar industry, starting with a solar company based in Washington and serving customers in both Washington and Oregon. Following a merger with his initial company, he moved on to work for another solar firm based in Medford, Oregon. After experiencing two major corporate mergers, Brett found his true home with National Solar, a local family business renowned for its outstanding reputation in Oregon. His unwavering commitment to ethics, integrity, and honesty makes National Solar the perfect fit for him. He is passionate about helping Oregonians go solar, ensuring they receive the best service from start to finish. When Brett assists clients in going solar, he takes pride in his work and aims to build relationships based on trust and respect. He wants to be able to greet clients warmly if they meet at local spots like Costco or Home Depot, reflecting his dedication to maintaining strong, positive connections. This commitment is why he has chosen to build his career with National Solar, a company that stands behind its work throughout the entire process and beyond installation.
Kelcey has been an Oregonian since the 90’s and took up residency following her great grandfather’s footsteps as well as centuries ago family history trek across the emigrant trail. Kelcey was certified in leadership and management in Colorado, earning a BA from AMU and many years of experience as a Paralegal for local firms. Kelcey has always had a strong interest in the environment and green earth technology. She joins National Solar in the Global movement making a contribution to improve environmental health. As a mother to her son and two very energetic terriers she spends free time out on river hikes and trails, soaking up the majestic mountains and scenic lakes of the Cascades along with the occasional visits from curious local wildlife. Kelcey looks forward to working with you to coordinate your journey on the path to going Solar.
